The Nepali community of Colorado Springs came together on Friday, August 15, 2025, to celebrate Haritalika Teej 2082 with great enthusiasm. Organized by the Nepalese Association of Colorado Springs (NACS), the event drew more than 160 participants from across the state, including guests from Denver, Pueblo, and nearby cities.
Held at the Westside Community Center, the evening was filled with traditional music, dance, and laughter, bringing the spirit of Teej to life far from home. Women dressed in beautiful red saris and traditional jewelry, adding elegance and cultural depth to the celebration.
Guests enjoyed a spread of Nepali delicacies, including sel roti, kheer, and a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, which reminded everyone of the warmth and flavors of Nepal.
The event was supported by Nexa Mortgage, represented by consultant Sandesh Pokharel, and featured engaging cultural performances. NACS expressed sincere thanks to all the attendees, volunteers, and sponsors who helped make the program a success.
The celebration showed how Nepalis in Colorado Springs continue to honor their traditions and strengthen cultural identity while living abroad. The success of this event reflects the community’s dedication to keeping Nepali culture alive for future generations.
